About:

Carol Ann was the second daughter born to Stanley Eugene Miner and Florence Catherine Nelson Miner in Denver, Colorado.  Upon the death of their father at age 6, she moved with her mother and sisters toStory, Wyoming where Florence Miner and Ardith Peterson owned The Tunnel Inn Restaurant and Bar. She loved to play dress up (in mom’s clothes) and hide and seek games with her sisters. She learned many skills  growing up and working in the restaurant. She used these skills in her adult life. She completed the elementary years at Story Grade School and graduated from Sheridan High School May 1962.

Carol Ann began her long career as beautician by attending The Billings School of Cosmetology in the 1962 summer. She obtained a Wyoming License of Cosmetology and renewed her License every year until her recently retired. She had a full roster of clients and established her own successful business. Many clients became her friends. As she styled the person’s hair or nails, she kept a steady conversation during the session. She truly enjoyed her vocation.

Carol Ann married Ed in September 1972, their 50thanniversary this past year. She fulfilled her role as loving wife and devoted mother to their children with dignity and tenacity. She enjoyed shopping throughout her life and gifting to family and friends She was generous to a fault with people, always ready to forgive and accept them. She often stated she would have a better day tomorrow. She rarely met a person she could not talk with. She was a wonderful combination of naivety and compassion. She is remembered fondly by her nieces as always smiling at holiday and family gatherings. She was happy just to be with them. She was kind and thoughtful with the nieces and nephew.

Carol Ann is survived by her beloved Ed, son Edward (Sunni)Schleichardt; daughter Lori Kay (John) Miller; grandchildren: Blake,Colton, Tasha, Amanda, Robbie; sisters: Linda Clayton (Cal) and JanetFrith and their families.
