Charley Francis Bull, 81, of Dayton, WY died Thursday, December 13, 2012, in Sheridan Manor, Sheridan, WY.

Charley was born October 2, 1931, in Sheridan to William & Violet (Traub) Bull.

The family lived at Wyarno, WY until 1946. Charley went to Plum Creek School and then one year at Sheridan High School. They move to Dayton in 1946 and he graduated from Dayton High School and then went one year to Sheridan College. Charley enlisted in the U. S. Army and served two years at Fort Bliss, TX and was discharged in 1954. After the service, he returned to the Sheridan area and worked several years in local saw mills. The he went to Mooreton, ND where he worked on a family farm for 14 years. Charley then moved back to Dayton and worked 25 years as an oiler and mechanic for the Padlock Ranch until he retired.

Charley was a member of St. Edmund’s Catholic Church in Ranchester, WY where he rang the bell for many years and took up the collection. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus in Mooreton. Charley enjoyed riding his motorcycles. He had one he rode to work every day in all kinds of weather. He also designed steam engines and made a small model that worked. He also enjoyed walking.

Charley was preceded in death by his parents.

Charley is survived by his brothers George (Isabel) of Peoria, IL, Harold (his twin) of Hurst, TX, Albert (Janet) of Dayton, Leonard (Donna) of Dayton, and Dan (Barb) of Eau Claire, WI; sister Mary Hulett (Arlowe) of Laramie, WY; and many nieces and nephews.

Vigil service will be 7:00pm on Monday (Dec. 17th) from Champion Ferries Funeral Home with funeral liturgy at 10:00am on Tuesday from Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ronald Stolcis officiating. Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

Memorials may benefit St. Edmund’s Catholic Church or Dayton Fire and Rescue.
