
Diana Gale Hervison
About:
Baton Rouge, LA — Diana Gale Herbison, age 82, passed peacefully in her sleep just before midnight on April 19 th with loved ones by her side at Our Lady of the Lake Hospice. She married Michael R. Herbison, July 6 th , 2006 before he passed peacefully in their home March 19 th , 2007. They were Sheridan High School sweethearts.
Diana is survived by her sister Donna Hobbs and brother Daniel Cotton (May), four children; Mark (Kenle), Mike (Natalie), Anthony Sonderby and Deidre Arzy. She leaves behind five grandchildren, Michael Sonderby, Danielle Whisenand (Kristofer), Amanda Sonderby, David Sonderby and Samantha Arzy. She also leaves behind four great grandchildren; Alexis, Casen, Shay and Hayden. Diana was very involved in community service including; Rotary International, Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce, Holy Name Catholic Women’s Council, Holy Name Church, and Holy Name School fundraisers.
Diana spent many hours mending Priest’s clothing, vestments, making alter clothing and bibs for baptisms or ceremonies. She spent countless of hours doing eucharistic adoration and serving as a eucharistic minister for Holy Name Church. This included visiting elderly or homebound in the Sheridan area as a eucharistic minister. In addition to being a very giving member of her community, Diana will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She often said spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were amongst the biggest and best blessings in life.
She was a flower shop owner, telephone operator at Western Bell (later AT&T), meter reader and engineering admin assistant at Montana Dakota Utilities in Sheridan. She loved spending time with family, her friends, dog Andre, and cat EB. She enjoyed the Bighorn mountains with family, traveling to far-away places with friends, and cooking.
On Friday, June 26 th, 2026 a Rosary will be held at 10:30 AM, and Celebration of Life Mass to follow at 11 at Holy Name Church. A noon luncheon will follow at Holy Names Parish Hall.
Following the luncheon Diana’s ashes will be interned in Sheridan’s Mount Hope Cemetery, Section L-R, next to her late husband Mike and beloved brother, David Edward Cotton at 1:30 PM.
Any donations to Holy Name Church or Holy Name School in Diana’s honor, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated by the family. Or the Sheridan County dog and cat shelter.
