Dorothy Caroline Hinton Taylor passed away at home on March 18, 2016 at the age of 83. She was born April 10th, 1932 in Stockville, Nebraska. She was born to Avery Hinton and Ona Knight Hinton. She graduated from high school in Penrose, Colorado in 1950. She married Marvin Leroy Taylor June 30, 1950 and they had three sons. She spent most of her life working side by side with Marvin in their ranching profession. Marvin said many times she was his number one ranch hand, housekeeper, partner and best friend. She enjoyed crocheting and was an expert seamstress, sewing Marvin and the boys shirts. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and playing solitaire. She loved watching her family grow and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved the evenings where she and Marvin sat outside enjoying mother nature. She and Marvin raised registered quarter horses.She is survived by three sons, Delbert, Stanley (Karen) and Allen (Jo Ann), five grandchildren: Tamara (Dennis) Carbajal, Trudy (Chris) Oelrichs, Bart (Crystal) Taylor, Tracy Taylor and Jason (Brandy) Taylor and eight great grandchildren: Taj Allen Taylor, Samantha and Ryan Taylor, Connor Taylor, Sydney and Roman Carbajal, and Dalton and Preston Oelrichs.Dorothy was the third youngest in the Hinton family of 14 children. Dorothy was a wonderful cook. She spent one summer cooking for a catering company. At home she cooked for many hay crews and branding crews. She loved to cook and fed anyone who was hungry. She never knew the word no.She was a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was beloved and will be missed by many.Memorials can be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital Fund at PO Box K, Sheridan, WY 82801.A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Don Derryberry officiating. A reception will follow at 209 Smith Creek Rd., Dayton, WY.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
