Eleanor Ella Troutt passed away peacefully at home on 11 May 2024, just a few weeks short of her 95th birthday. She was born on 18 June 1929. She married “Bill” Troutt on 9 Aug 1947 in Hardin, Montana and they made their home in Sheridan. Eleanor was the business bookkeeper for the family business, Bill Troutt plumbing,from 1950- until retirement in 1988. In the early years, Eleanor participated with her family by trekking the mountains for hunting and fishing trips. In later years she enjoyed staying closer to home,enjoying her gardens and watching the wildlife that wandered through her yard. She was an avid Bronco’s fan. She kept an eye on the current events and wasn’t afraid to argue over a political event.Although her family was scattered far and wide, she always managed to keep track of them and the latest activities they were involved with.

Proceeded in death by her parents, Harold & Ella (Foss) Smith; sister, Bonnie Jean Cotton; son, Danny and husband, Harold “Bill” Troutt. Survivors include son; Rick Troutt(Joy) from Pueblo, CO, with grandson’s, Trinity and Lance. Also survives, son, Randy (Jean) Troutt, from Sheridan with grandson,Kaleb. Also, Great-grandchildren; Donovan, Garrett, Leann and Theron; a sister, Marian Zowada, and various nieces & nephews. A Special thank you to her niece, Georgia Cotton and neighbor, Mark Ottema, who kept a close eye on her, helping with Dr. trips, errands and mail. Eleanor will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

There will be a graveside family gathering at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery at 11am, Thursday, 23 May 2024.
