Gordon Novakovich, 87, of Sheridan, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014, at his residence with his loving family at his side.Gordon was born on November 14, 1927, in Monarch, WY, to parents Milan and Agnes (Ozanich) Novakovich. He served in the Army. He married Gloria Hall on August 12, 1950 in Hardin, MT.Gordon enjoyed sports; softball, hunting, fishing, bowling, and dart ball. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #520.Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings, several nieces and nephews.He is survived by his wife Gloria, daughters, Debra J. (Rob Robinson) Kath of Dayton, WY, Lisa L. (Greg) Miknis of Broomfield, CO, siblings; Phillip Novakovich of Torrington, WY, Gary Novakovich of Delta, CO, Lucia Tomaszkiewicz, of Lyons, IL, grandchildren; Ashley Miknis, Courtney Miknis, Ryan Kath, and and numerous nieces and nephews.Memorials to honor Gordon may be made to Hospice of the Big Horns, PO Box 391, Sheridan, WY, 82801 or to Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter, 84 East Ridge Road, Sheridan, WY 82801.Private family services will be held in the Spring.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
