Henry E. Sickler Sr, 84, of Sheridan, WY, died February 16, 2010 at Sheridan Manor.

Mr. Sickler was born April 10, 1925 in Sheridan to Henry and Bessie (Ackerly) Sickler.

Henry married Patricia McKelvey December 11, 1945 in Hardin,MT.

After attending Sheridan High School, he moved to California and worked as a welder in the shipyards. He then moved back to Sheridan where he was a mechanic for various automobile shops, worked for The Sheridan Flour Mill for many years, moved houses, and was a projectionist at the WYO Theater.

Henry enjoyed fishing, panning for gold, having family stop by for a cup of coffee, sharing his knowledge and stories with everyone, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren by taking them hunting for the first time, or helping them catch a fish or two.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; infant sons Bobby and Johnny, brothers George and Miles; and one sister, Dorothy Jacobs.

Mr. Sickler is survived by 2 sons, Henry Jr. of Sheridan and Eddy of Buffalo, WY; 3 daughters, Mollie Kluver of Henderson, NV, Bessie Moore and Pandy Sears, both of Sheridan; 12 grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Andrew, Darcy, Cecelia, Brandy, Steven Samantha, Allix, Joshua, Jacob, and Jessie; 12 great grandchildren, Tabitha, Michael Charles, Kelly, Kristen, Lucus, Richard, Collin, Braylynn, Kaylee, Valerieand Bradford and 2 great great grandchildren, Noah and Radley.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday February 26th, at The Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, with Lisa Gill officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
