September 14, 1957 - September 10, 2026
Veteran Badge

About:

Howard “Jack” W. Sipe was born on September 14, 1957 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Betty (nee Miller) and Howard W. Sipe, Sr. Two years later, sister Nadine (Deena) came along. Although he was not always the nicest old brother, there was great love between them.

Jack could be found living just outside of Sheridan until seven years of age when his family moved to Big Horn, where he attended school. While in high school, Jack played football and partied with a tight-knit group of friends, including his best friend, Ken Kawamoto. Jack earned three Associate Degrees from Sheridan College.

Upon graduation, it was off to San Diego and the Navy, where he served upon a submarine. He returned to Sheridan and work at the Veteran’s Administration. Jack transferred to the VA in Seattle for a time but came back to the Veteran’s Administration in Sheridan, from which he retired in 2017. Serving as Union President at the Sheridan VA for many years was one of Jack’s proudest achievements.

August 2, 1997 saw another milestone for Jack when he married Eileen (nee Hamilton) Mueller of Chicago. He also inherited a teenaged step-son, Joel Mueller, a cat, and a dog. Although there were ups and downs, they stuck together for twenty-nine years, through both of their health issues, and remained a loving couple.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, infant nephew Travis, numerous aunts, uncles, and other assorted relatives. Jack leaves his wife Eileen, son Joel Mueller, daughter-in-law Summer (nee Diver), grandchildren Joely (nee Mueller) Cooper (Dax) and Sage Mueller as well as his sister Nadine “Deena” (nee Sipe) Bates (Rueben) and sister-in-law Kimberley (nee Hamilton) Jace (Aaron). Nephew Tyler Chievrue and Niece Rieve Chievrue (Kate).
