View Service Folder|Click for Video Tribute Irene Helen Cole, 83, passed away on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 at Sheridan Manor. She was born November 21, 1935 in Sheridan, WY to Frank and Helen (Bocek) Rucki. She grew up and attended school in Sheridan, WY. Irene attended a business school in Rapid City, SD and was transferred to Ellsworth Air Force Base where she was an IBM operator. She then was transferred to Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, WY before returning to Sheridan. Throughout her life, Irene fought challenges with fierce determination and will be remembered for her witty sense of humor, kind heart and strong will. On October 10, 1969, Irene married Ralph Cole in Sheridan, WY. Together, they had three children; Dean, Brad, and Carol. She considered her children her greatest accomplishment and was proud of everything they did. Irene enjoyed gardening, loved her rose bushes, loved going for drives around the country, and loved embroidering in her younger years. She loved arguing with her sister Jeanie. Irene loved people and thoroughly enjoyed delivering the Sheridan Press newspaper to businesses on main street. She appreciated everyone who stopped by just to visit. She was lifelong member of Holy Name Catholic Church.Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Frank Rucki, her sister, Mary Pinder (late Ed) and her brother, Robert. Survivors include her husband, Ralph, children: Dean (Deana) Cole, Brad (Faith) Cole, and Carol Cole. Her brothers Tony (Shirley) Rucki, Oscar (Camille) Rucki and sister, Jeanie (late Kenny) Bettcher. Numerous nieces and nephews and the apple of her eye, her two beloved grandchildren, Deblin and Witten. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Kane Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 16, 2019, at Kane Funeral Home with a reception to follow in the Kane Reception Hall.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
