Joseph Allen Onkka, 29, previously of Sheridan, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at his residence in Gillette, WY.Joey was born on March 18, 1984 in Sheridan, WY to parents David Allen Onkka and Lora Helene (Reagan) Donohue. He was working construction at the time of his death.Joey loved fishing, watching movies, music, walking, taking the dogs for walks, hiking on the mountains, working with Mike on projects, picking on his brother Josh was his all time favorite, he enjoyed playing jokes on people, playing cards with his mom and spending time with his sons; Victor and Lucas.Joey was preceded in death by his grandmother, Janet Cook. He is survived by his parents; Lora (Mike) Donohue of Sheridan, WY and David Onkka of Central Point, OR, sons; Victor Allen Onkka and Lucas Allen Onkka, and the mother of his children, Joana Johnson, all of Victoria, TX, his brothers; Joshua Onkka, of Gillette, WY and Christopher Onkka, of Nashville, TN, and his grandparents; Ila Onkka of Sheridan, WY and Glenn (Margot) Reagan, of Quemado, NM.A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013 at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Forman officiating. Inurnment will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Cornerstone Church.Memorials to honor Joey may be made to the Joey Onkka Memorial Fund at the Bank of the West, 2 N.
