About:

Judith E. Powell, age 70, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 31, 2020 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. Judy was born June 25, 1950, in Superior, WI, the daughter of Palmer \"Plug\" and Ellen Fregard. She married Gary T. Powell on June 6, 1980. Judy worked for Dr. Lawrence Gill for 19 years and a short time for Sheridan Memorial Hospital. Judy retired on September 4, 2017.An avid adventurer, Judy loved to plan and lead vacations that brought all of her friends and family once-in-a-lifetime memories. In her life she had many stories of exploring the world. From sky-diving in Hawaii, motorcycling the entire west coast (among many other motorcycle trips), exploring national parks, cheering on Wyoming All-State Marching Band at the Rose Bowl Parade, singing “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” on Splash Mountain, to having a glass of red wine looking out over the majestic Canadian Rockies, Judy always made room in her heart for a new experience. She and her mother pass on their motto, \"always stop and take the time to put your feet in the water, no matter how cold it is.\" She had a love of beauty in nature, which she showed through her gardening and photography. She never gave up an opportunity to joke around and laugh with her loved ones. Her beautiful soul has moved on, but the gifts she shared will never leave us.Judy is survived by her husband Gary and daughter Breanna Powell (Rory Mills), brother John (Amy) Fregard, Niece and nephews Laura, Steve (Nikki), and Aaron (Laura) Fregard, brother-in-law Scott (Cheryl) Powell, niece and nephew Danita and Derek (Jessica) Powell, sister-in-law Wendy Meyers, nephews Ryan and Dustin Meyers.Judy\'s funeral services will be held at a later date.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
