Lydia Brug, 97, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at the Westview Health Care Center.Lydia was born in Nisland, SD, on March 4, 1917, to parents William and Mary (Bauer) Hauf. She married John Brug III, on April 27, 1934, in Sheridan, WY, by Pastor Herb Siebert at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.Lydia was a social butterfly, active in the Sheridan Senior Center, and a member of the Cowbells, Piney Creek Women\'s Club and Immanuel Lutheran Church. She and her husband both sang in the Sheridanaires.Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, three sisters, Elizabeth, Freida and Hilda, two brothers, Fred and William “Willie”. She is survived by her children, Shirley (George) Schriner of Payson, AZ and Robert (Sandy) Brug of Sheridan, WY, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.Memorials to honor Lydia may be made to the Martin Luther Grammar School at 1325 Burton St., Sheridan, WY 82801.A Graveside Service will be held later this Spring.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
