View Service FolderMabel Doris Buchan, 89, of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Sheridan Manor.Mabel was born on October 30, 1924, in Konawa, OK to parents William W. and Efrasia (Rushing) Moore. She graduated from Konawa High School in 1942. She married Kenneth “Buck” Robert Buchan on July 1, 1944. They raised four children.Mabel enjoyed playing bingo, working out at the YMCA, spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Elks Drove #127, Sheridan.Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, four sisters and a grandson. She is survived by her husband of nearly seventy years, her children; Jim (Robin) Buchan of Las Vegas, NV, Tom Buchan, Mike (Yvonne) Buchan and Sandra “Sam” Schuma, all of Sheridan, WY, her siblings; Pearl Morgan of Oro Valley, AZ, Ruth Ziegler of Bethalto, IL, grandchildren; Jessica Slack, Corey Buchan, Wade Buchan, Bobby Buchan, Darissa Nordmeyer, Robin White, Ellen Baggett, Jason Buchan, Kelly Buchan, LeAnn Rice, twenty great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.Services for Mabel will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Kane Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Sheridan Elks Memorial Cemetery with a Reception to follow at the Elks Lodge.Memorials to honor Mabel may be made to the Elks Building Fund at 45 W.
