Margaret Louise Swinyer
About:
Margaret Louise Swinyer was born on November 18, 1952, in Sheridan, Wyoming, to Kleo and Ruth Sams. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on September 10, 2026.
Margaret married Ronald Swinyer on February 14, 1976, after dating for eight years. Together, they built a loving family and shared many wonderful years. They were blessed with two children, Trina and Travis, and later adopted Tresten, Vikki, and Sabrina.
Margaret dedicated more than 40 years of her life to caring for others as an LPN at the VA Hospital, where she worked until her retirement in 2012. Her compassion and dedication touched the lives of many throughout her long career.
Outside of work, Margaret enjoyed life on the home ranch with her husband. She loved gardening, raising livestock and horses, and sharing the rewards of ranch life with her family.
Some of Margaret’s happiest memories were made in the Bighorn Mountains, where she enjoyed camping, hunting, and snowmobiling with her family and friends. She treasured the time spent together and the many memories made along the way.
Above all, Margaret loved being a mother and grandmother. Her family and friends were at the heart of her life, and she cherished every opportunity to spend time with those she loved. She will be remembered for her caring heart, her love of family, her hard work, and the many lives she touched throughout her years.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Ruth Sams, and her daughter, Trina Swinyer.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Swinyer; son, Travis Swinyer (Jenna Gorzalka); son, Tresten Swinyer (Dayla Broyles); daughter, Vikki Swinyer (Troy Green); and daughter, Sabrina Swinyer (Celcey Kozak).
