Rita Kay Baumann was born February 16, 1960 to Leo and Audrey Baumann in Springfield, MN. Rita graduated from Springfield High in 1978. After high school she moved to Alexandria, MN to attend Alexandria Community College. In 1984, Rita relocated to Sheridan, WY where she resided for 13 years.
For several years Rita lived in a few different locations and returned “home” to Sheridan in 2006. On June 23, Rita passed away peacefully at Sheridan Manor.
Rita is survived by her daughter Karis (Travis) of Waseca, MN, three grandchildren Kody, Trevin, Shyanne (Josh) of Owantonna, MN, one great-granddaughter Freya and another great-grandchild on the way, Oliver; her siblings Dennis (Karen), Jeanette (Michael), Mary (Orv), Bev (Chris), Julie (Doug), brother-in-law Richard, and many nieces and nephews.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents and sister Diane.
Arrangements are being made by Kane Funeral Home of Sheridan. A visitation will be held in Minnesota at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's name may be made to the Welch Cancer Center, 1585 West 5th St, Sheridan, WY 82801.
