Roberta Eileen BurtisRoberta Eileen Burtis passed away at St Vincent in Billings Montana on April 20, 2014 with family by her side. She was born April 10, 1948 in Sheridan Wyoming to Juanita M. (Bliss) and Russell C. Hart. She attended Coffeen Elementary and Sheridan High School. She married Donald Wayne Burtis on October 6, 1973 and later separated. She drove the bus for School District #2 for over 30 years. She loved spending time in the mountains, playing with her grandchildren and dancing. She was a member of the Drum & Bugle Corp and Honor Guard. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Her mother, father and brother Russell Hart, mother-in-law Maxine Burtis preceded her in death. She is survived by daughter Darci Smith (Darrell) of Billings, Montana and Darci’s father, Donald Wayne Burtis. Grandchildren: Hailey and Kolter Smith. Siblings: Ethel Willms of Sheridan Wyoming; Robert Swanson of St. Onge, South Dakota; Lloyd (Vee) Hart of Story, Wyoming; Rebecca (Gerald) Haeffelin of Maupin, Oregon; Keith (Paula) Hart of Portland, Oregon. Father-in-law Donald E. Burtis, six sister-in-laws, six brother-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held May 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Kane Funeral Home in Sheridan Wyoming with Pastor Doug Goodwin officiating.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
