Ross Edward Nicholson passed away on October 13, 2013 in the arms of his loving wife. He was born to Linda D. Johnson on August 13, 1981 in Englewood, Colorado. He attended schools in Sheridan, Wy. , St. Paul MN., and graduated from High School in Eldon, MO. in 2000.He was blessed with a son, Sabastian Kyle Nicholson on March 23, 2001.He enlisted in the United States Army in 2003 and was assigned to the HHC 1st Brigade in Fort Riley, Kansas. He was deployed for 14 months to Iraq where he re-enlisted January 2007 as part of the Stryker Brigade at the Schofield Barracks in Oahu, Hawaii. He redeployed to Iraq in March 2007, he was injured in action and medically boarded back to the Untied States and was Honorably Discharged from service.On August 20, 2011 he married the love of his life, Kendall Barking in Sheridan Wyoming. They lived a Cinderella story that most people dream of. Ross was Kendall’s first kiss and she was his last. Their love will last “Always and Forever”.People remember Ross by his laughter, his smile and his ability to cheer others.He is survived his wife, Kendall Amy Nicholson, his son Sabastian Kyle Nicholson, his Mother , Linda Johnson of Gillette, WY; his brothers Mark (Heather) Brandt, Michael (Tisha) Brandt of Eldon MO; his sisters Kim (Alex) Akamine of Honolulu, HI; and Rebecca (Trenton) Rosenlund of Sheridan, WY; Brother in-law Casey Barking of Laramie, WY; Father and Mother in-law Frank and Deniece Barking of Sheridan, WY; and many nieces and nephews.A visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm, Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Kane Funeral Home. A graveside service and internment will be at 2 pm, October 23, 2013, at Black Hills National Cemetery with full military honors.Donations to honor Ross may be made to the Wounded Warriers, 4899 Belfort Rd, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
