Ruth Ada (Stewart) Roberts, 89, of Sheridan, passed away in her sleep the morning of March 5, 2015 at her home.Ruth was born on June 7, 1925 to Archibald and Irene (Workman) Stewart in Gann Valley, S.D. Her family later moved to Ft. Thompson. She married James (Jim) Roberts on November 27, 1940 in Chamberlain, S.D. They had eight children. Throughout Ruths\' life she had many roles, loving wife and mother, farm hand, nurse, grandmother, and Christian friend. In 2001, Jim and Ruth moved to Sheridan, WY. She was a life long member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.Ruth is survived by her children, daughters; Irene Winkler and Sally Stewart of Sheridan, WY, Sandra (Paul) Frodyce of Battle Ground, WA, Ilena (Tom) Hallstrom of Northeast, MD, sons; Archie (MaryAnn) Roberts, Sturgis, S.D., Leon Roberts of Rapid City, S.D., Val (Cindy) Roberts of Brush Prairie,WA, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a host of Christian friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, son, Clayton, precious grandchildren, great grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters.A Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
