Ruth Clare Kreger, age 87, passed away at Sheridan Memorial Hospital early on Saturday morning, October 19, 2013.Ruth was born on August 9, 1926, in Sheridan, WY, to Charles and Lois Howarth. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1944 and started her career at First National Bank. She worked at various clerical jobs while living in Rapid City, Newcastle, Denver, and Casper. Ruth returned to Sheridan and worked as a secretary at the Veterans Administration Medical Center for 29 years.Ruth was married to Albert Wagner, to whom her son, Wayne T. Wagner, was born. She later was married to George Badget for 25 years. She was later married to Herman Kreger for 16½ years, who preceded her in death in 2004. They enjoyed many years at their trailer in the Big Horn Mountains on weekends. Ruth loved to dance, especially the polka. Ruth was a member of AFGE (American Federation of Government Employees) since 1967. She was active in the Business and Professional Women’s Club, Akcita Win, Polka Club, Old Time Musicians, and NARFE (National Active & Retired Federal Employees) for many years.Ruth was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by a son, Wayne T. Wagner, Sabrina Wagner; three grandchildren, Lisa D. Olsen, Wayne C. Wagner, and Joseph L. Wagner; seven great-grandchildren, Erin Olsen, Greg Olsen, Shanti Wagner, Christiana Wagner, Camron Wagner, Phoebe Wagner, and Rueben Wagner; and a great-great grandchild, Elijah Ball. Ruth also leaves behind step-daughters, Karen Roth and Donna Kepp, Karen’s sons, Gary A. Roth, Jim Roth (Kari Butler), Mel Roth, and Donna’s daughters, Cindy Shoop, Kris Hedrick, Chelly Fiedor, and Mindy Hamilton, as well as many cousins and good friends.The Celebration of Life will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, with Reverend Paul J.
