Ruth Eilene Snively Weller
1916 - 2009

An earthly angel has made her way to heaven. Ruth Eilene Snively Weller passed away on August 9, 2009, at age 92 in the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, WY.

Ruth was born September 23, 1916, in Deering, N. Dakota to Benjamin F. and Bertha F. Snively, the third of four daughters. She was raised in Canada during her early childhood. After the family returned to the USA, she graduated from high school in Stockport, Iowa. Ruth married Harold “Hi” Weller in 1934 with the wedding taking place at her parent’s home in Stockport. After some travels to various work locations, they made their permanent home in Sheridan, Wyoming.

Ruth is survived by her daughters Rachael Stewart of Klamath Falls, Oregon and Rowena (Jim) Ludwig of Carpenter, WY.

Ruth is grandmother to Rebecca Jewell of Torrington, WY, Rhonda Wilken of Sheridan and B. Timothy Connolly & wife Kerstin of Gillette, WY.

Ruth is great grandmother to Katie (Cash) Isbell of Torrington, Kodie (Clint) Olsen of Baker, MT and Alicia and Trevor Connolly of Gillette.

Ruth is also great great grandmother to Kash, Kaenee and Kalelyn Isbell and Kane and Cord Olsen.

In addition, Ruth is survived by her sister Bette Klindt of Davenport, Iowa and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her parents and sisters Wanda McKeever and Nina Schneider.

Ruth was a caring person to family and friends who loved her very much and she will be missed by all of us.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm on Wednesday (Aug 12th) from Champion Ferries Funeral Home, Sheridan, WY. The pallbearers are Clint Olsen, Cash Isbell, Tim Connolly, Jim Ludwig, Rex Lofts and Bob Bradley. Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, Elks Section. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
