Steven R. Churchill, 62, of Sheridan, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Sheridan Manor.Steven was born July 9, 1952, in Brookings, SD, to Winston K. and Jeannine Avis (Short) Churchill.  He was married to Lora “Kappy” (Ryan) Churchill on June 23, 1973, in Canoga Park, CA. Steve liked RC flying, snow skiing and water skiing, fishing, traveling, hiking and off road motorcycling.  He loved following his son, Logan, around watching hockey. Steve was a member of the Flying Cowboys RC club.Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Jeannine, Janice Denherder, Avis Short, Lyle Short, Gladys Churchill, Carl Churchill and his niece Katie Lindsey Driver. He is survived by his wife, Kappy, his son, Logan and his father, Winston, step mother, Midge, half sister, Debbie Churchill, Debbie Miller and Kim Royster.A visitation will be held Thursday, June 4, 2015, from 6 to 8 pm at Kane Funeral Home.  A Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 5, 2015, at 2 pm at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Orchard officiating.Memorials to honor Steve may be made to the Welch Cancer Center at P.O.
