Thecla Ellen Leahy Knickrehm passed away July 9,2013 at Green House Living, Sheridan,Wy. She was born November 15,1913 on the family ranch in Holt County , NE to Thomas and Barbara Bauer Leahy. Raised on the ranch, she rode her horse to country school and graduated from Ewing High School, Ewing, NE in 1932.Tec taught in the country school she attended before moving to Alliance, NE. She worked in dental offices in Alliance, Norfolk, and Grand Island, NE. On January 17, 1953 she married Hubert John Knickrehm in Grand Island, NE. They made their home in Grand Island where Tec was a member of St. Leo\'s Catholic Church, St Francis Hospital Auxilary and PEO. She enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to several bridge clubs. In 1988 Tec and her husband moved to Mesa, AZ and in 2001 to Sheridan, WY to be near their daughter.Tec was preceeded in death by her husband, brothers John Leahy and William Leahy and sisters Mary Kaputska and Ann Crain. She is survived by her daughter and son in law Mary Kay and Kim Love of Sheridan, WY, sister Sr. Kathryn Leahy, Alliance, NE and special niece Shirley Smith, Denver, CO.Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass is planned for a future date in the Chapel at Marion Residence, Alliance, NE with private Burial of Cremains in Grand Island , NE Cemetery.Memorials to honor Tec can be made to The Wound Care Clinic, c/o SMH Foundation, PO Box 391, Sheridan, WY 82801 or St. Leo\'s Catholic Church, 2410 S.
