Ules “Dean” Netherton, 81, of Sheridan, Wyoming passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 with his loving family by his side. He was born on December 1, 1943, in Putnam County, Tennessee, to Joseph Mack and Lillie Mae Netherton.

Dean was one of eight children. He is survived by his siblings David and Lillian. Preceded in death by his brothers Bob, Matt, Arless, Oscar, Arman, and Norman.Also, preceded in death by his loving Wife of 45 years, Rae Marie, and by his Children Jerry Clark, and Ricky Schaffer.

Dean is survived by his children Denise (Russ), Michelle (Joe), Deana (Derik), Alvin (Sandi), and Lana (Don), along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Dean retired from MDU in 1991 and enjoyed skeet shooting, hunting, fishing, and spending time in the Bighorn Mountains.

His family and friends will remember him for his charm, teasing humor, warm smile, and his love for the outdoors.

Dean never met a stranger and was a devoted friend and neighbor to many.

A Graveside Service for Dean will be held on October 4, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Lovell Cemetery, 1123 County Lane 13, Lovell WY, 82431.

Following the graveside service a Celebration of Deans life will be held at 2:30 PM at WYOld West Brewing Co. in Powell WY, 221 N Bent St, Powell WY, 82435.

Champion Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
