Douglas “Doug” Wayne Peoples, 75, a longtime resident of Cheyenne, passed away July 2nd, at RiverStone Hospice Home in Billings, Montana. Doug was born May 3, 1944 in Denver, Colorado, a son of Aubrey and Allawilda (Miller) Peoples.He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and then worked in transportation until retiring in 2013. He enjoyed Wyoming Football games where he would attend with his kids, volunteering for CFD, camping, hunting and being outdoors. He loved to tinker and spend time with his dogs.Doug is survived by his son, Grady People of Cheyenne and daughter, Dorrie Peoples Brown of Sheridan, Wyoming, as well as his grandchildren, Zach Peoples, Kadie Brown, Kendall and Katelynn Byers, and extended family that he adored. He was preceded in death by daughter, Lacey Peoples Byers, brother, Bruce Peoples, and his parents.No Services are planned at this time.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
