George “Estes” Lindley, 76, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at the Sheridan Manor. He was born on September 8, 1939, in Norton, TX, to parents Virgil Henry and Evanita (Powers) Lindley. He married Charlotte “Molly” Mayfield on July 24, 1959, in San Antonio, TX. He served his country in the U.S. Marines for                    four years.Estes enjoyed driving, reading, fishing, and NASCAR. He especially loved spending time with his family.Estes was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Molly, children, Timothy Ray Lindley of Sheridan, WY, Melody Lindley of Kanopolis, KS, Brian Keith (Danya) Lindley of Casper, WY, Michael Paul (Mary) Lindley of Melbourne, FL, siblings, Eloise (John) Chaney of Katy, TX, Gorden (Barbara) Lindley of Floresville, TX, brother and sisters in law,Jimmy and Sherry Swanner of Sheridan, WY, Darlean Mayfield of Sheridan, WY, grandchildren, Steven, Estes, Zoe, Jamie Day, Marcus and great grandson, Dakota.A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Kane Funeral Home. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016,  in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.Memorials to honor Estes may be made to the Alzheimer\'s Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave., FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7633.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
