Georgia Lee Bitters, 85, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital with her daughter by her side. She was born on November 29, 1929 to George and Irene Burgess in Jerome, WY. She was a graduate of Ranchester High School.Georgia married Albert Julius Bitters on November 8, 1948 in Billings, MT. To this union two daughters were born: Erna Bitters McClure and Marlene Bitters Schultz. She worked at the National Coil Plant, as a supervisor in Sheridan for fifteen years. She retired from the Wyoming Girls School after twenty two years, starting out as a house mother and then doing what she really loved, cooking. No on e could match her turkey and dressing. Mom was in her element when she was cooking for the family.Every summer you could find her gardening, fishing, gambling (keno), riding motorcycles, riding snow machines (when winter came) and traveling with her husband, Albert, of fifty seven years.Georgia Lee is survived by her two daughters: Erna McClure and Marlene (Richard Smith) Schultz, both of Sheridan, WY, Grandchildren are: Chara Lee (Jason) Blaszkowski, Choni Lin (Nick) Bollinger, Wade Allen (Tracy) McClure, Bryon (Sandy) Schultz and Tara Schultz. Great grandchildren are Zaygen Lee Blaszkowski, Curhan Alan Blaszkowski, David Schoneman, Brandon Michael Schultz, Blaine Everett Holwell, Brayln Marie Holwell, Brekyn Marie Holwell, Chloe Lin McClure, Sydney Lee McClure, Liam Dean McClure and numerous nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, husband, Albert, her brother John Burgess, and son in law Jimmy Dean McClure.Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. The family plans to come together and put her ashes where she requested.Memorials to honor Georgia can be made to the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter, 84 East Ridge Road, Sheridan, WY 82801.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
