About:

In My Garden Secrets are to be found among the petals and the leaves Secrets that few understand, and fewer would believe The bees seek the nectar of sweetness upon a flower And it wakes familiar moments, another time, another hour Moments laughing, planting, tending to the fields A place I find you every time and embrace the love revealed. _____________________________________________________________________________Georgianna Baldwin Georgianna Baldwin, 97-year-old Buffalo resident, passed away quietly surrounded by family June 22nd at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo. Born on the family homestead in Pearl, Illinois on September 12, 1921 to Daley and Maggie Wheeler. She lost her mother at a young age and helped raise her siblings. Georgianna worked in a button factory in Pearl Illinois and later moved to Montana to work on her Uncle Sidney Smith’s ranch in Twin Bridges and at the Bridger Orphan’s Home there. Georgianna met her husband Dick Baldwin at the roller-skating rink in Powell Wyoming. They were married on Oct 29, 1948. They farmed outside of Powell for many years and later moved to Buffalo Wyoming where they raised their 4 children. After retiring from the Veteran’s Home of Wyoming she moved with her husband to Wolf Creek Montana where they built their dream home in the mountains. She enjoyed their golden years being close to nature, gardening and chasing after grandkids who seemed to arrive with perfect timing about the same time a pie or several dozen cookies would come out of the oven! Georgianna was ‘mom’ to many and never favored one over the other as her fold was vast and full of children and adults who came and went in her household. Many people embraced the solace and unjudging love that mom would so generously offer to all who would show up and stay awhile. She always had plenty of room in her heart as well as her home. She was proceeded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers; Don Wheeler, Floyd Wheeler, Forrest Wheeler; Sister Eilene Harmon, and son, Keith Baldwin. She is survived by one son, Ben Baldwin (Victoria Edwards) of Buffalo; two daughters, Donna Knudson (Willie Myers) of Buffalo, Cindy Humphrey (Sam Humphrey) of Helena, Montana; five grandchildren, JoAnn Kay (Johnny), Chance Goodrich (Wendy), Bobby Jo Baldwin, Kevin Turk, and Kyle Turk, and dozens of great grandkids and great-great grandkids… please know she thought each and all of you were extraordinarily GREAT! Private family interment for Georgianna will be held by her family at a later date. Donations in Mrs. Baldwin’s memory may be made to the Amie Holt Care at 497 W. Lott St., Buffalo, WY 82834Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements..
