December 7, 1920 – April 23, 2019  Gladys Ruth Hall, 98 died April 23, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Sheridan Wyoming where she has resided for the last 3 ½ years.   Gladys was born December 7, 1920 in Altoona, PA to William Harold Vaughn and Mary Ethel Linn.  She graduated from Altoona High School in 1938 and married Wilbur G Hall February 23, 1940.  They were married for 62 years, spending the first 40 years in Altoona, PA and then moved to Roseville, CA were Wilbur died in 2002.  They traveled all over the United States visiting as many State Parks as possible. Their favorite was Yosemite. After retirement they spent the winters in Quartzite, Arizona. Gladys then moved to Sheridan to be near her daughters Susan Huber and Connie Newcross & husband Wayne. She lived at Sheridan Square for 13 years and enjoyed going to the Senior Center everyday to have lunch and playing cards with special friends Jean Foss and Bob May. She hand- quilted over 40 quilts and gave most of them away to sisters, nieces, nephews then grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved crossword puzzles and she was an avid reader all her life. Her greatest love was her Lord and Savior and studying the Bible.  She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilbur, her daughter Susan Huber, and four sisters, Martha Butler, Grace Yohn, Jean Hamilton and Rose Hall. She is survived by her daughter Connie and husband Wayne, grandchildren Scott Huber of Torrance, Ca, Ron Huber of Sheridan, Jennifer (Todd) Dale of Winder, GA and Lisa (Kelly) Ladd of Virginia Beach, VA. Seven great-grand children Lindsay, Kelsey, Rachel, Bekah, Hannah, Sarah and Daniel. She had many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held May 18, 2019 at First Baptist church at 11am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Camp Bethel, P O Box 70, Dayton, WY 82836.
