Glenn E. Reeves, 85, of Sheridan, died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family from complications of cancer, on Thursday, November 26, 2015.Glenn was born on June 15, 1930, to Gerald and Irma (Hanson) Reeves in Douglas, WY. He graduated from Douglas High School. He was united in marriage to Lula Grace Foster on July 4, 1959 in Sheridan, WY.Glenn ranched in the Ucross, Wolf Creek, and Bighorn areas. He worked for Reeves Chevrolet in Douglas and Broadus, MT, Husman’s Construction, Pelesky Construction, and was partial owner of Jim Reeves Construction. He also had a mail route delivering to Sheridan, Bighorn and Buffalo.Glenn enjoyed elk hunting, boating, fishing, reading, playing cards, and especially spending time with his family and friends. Glenn was a member of the Bighorn Historical Society, Elks, Lions Club and LICA, (Land Improvement Contractors of America) which met in San Diego, CA for the National Convention in which he was Wyoming State President that year. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, son, Steven Reeves, brothers, Bill, Dick and Jack. He is survived by his wife, Lula Reeves of Sheridan, Ed (Deb) Olson, of Vancouver, WA, Jeanie (Jay) Kincy of Olympia,WA, Diana (John) Barbero of Broadus, MT, Randy (Julie) Reeves of Sheridan, WY, Mike Reeves of Sheridan, WY, brothers Jim (Sandy) Reeves of Grand Junction, CO, Alan (Trisha) Reeves of Arvada, CO, 21 Grandchildren, 25 Great grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren.Memorials to honor Glenn can be made to the Sheridan Senior Center at 211 Smith St., Sheridan, WY 82801. A memorial service will be held at a later date.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
