Ina Mae Boyd, 104, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017,  at St. John\'s Lutheran Ministries Campus in Billings, MT.Ina Mae was born on January 19, 1913 in Golden Gate, Wayne County, IL to Frank and Augusta (Smith) Mann.  She moved out West when she was 22 attending “Normal School” while living with her sister Nena and her husband Dr. Tom McLin a physician at Fort Mackenzie in Sheridan, WY where she met her cowboy for life.  Ina Mae and Sonny were married March 2, 1935 in Mt Carmel, IL and headed for a lifetime of ranching at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains between the Little Horn and the Rotten Grass Creek west of Wyola, MT.  She was well known and appreciated for her loving, friendly and gracious manner.  She cooked to the delight of many large threshing, haying and cattle round-up and shipping crews.  Many times there were 20-25 or more to feed plus her family.  No one went away hungry or without desserts and with a comment “are you sure you got enough?  Please have another homemade cinnamon roll or cookie”!!She was active in many lady Masonic related activities including, Order of Eastern Star, and Daughters of the Nile.  She enjoyed her many friends with the ladies of the Big Horn Shrine Club and Black Horse Patrol of the Al Bedoo Shrine.  She served at many levels of the Woman\'s Club of Wyola,  including regional and state levels.  Ina Mae is survived by her children Jo Ann Scott (Scotty) of Palm Coast, FL, PL Joe Boyd (Sharon) of Billings, MT, Judy Mae Lervick (Tim) of Jordan, MT, Marcus J. Boyd (Patty), of Lakewood, CO.  Grandchildren Laurie Powell, Brad and Bob Wagner, Gordon, Gary and Ron Boyd, Jeff and John Beranek and Jeff Boyd.  Great grandchildren Kara Powell, Jesse and Justin Wagner, Deanna and Devin Boyd, Cassie Coffin, Blake, Ian, Seth and Rachel Boyd.  Great great grandchildren Gracie Coffin, Ember Mae Wagner and Rogan Coffin.Many nieces and nephews including Marion Mann, Frank Mann, Paul Allen Gill and Lily Ann (Gill) Browning, Letha (McGovern) Pilkerton, Tom and Marcus O\'Bryon, and Barbara Boyd.  Special friends Dave and Linda Konkel and family of Wolf, WY.  Ina Mae was preceded in death by her husband Johnston Phillips, “Sonny” Boyd, her parents, Frank Mann and Augusta Ann (Smith) Mann, brother Marion Mann, sister Nena Mann and ½ sister Emily Gill and niece Karen (Mann) Waters. Mother was blessed with good health, many friends and family.  She maintained her home in Sheridan with the family\'s help until 2011.  She then joined the St. John\'s Lutheran Ministries Campus, Langemo Cottage in Billings, MT.  She and her family all appreciated the sincere loving kindness and warm hearted care that was provided.  Memorials may be designated to St. John\'s Lutheran Ministries Foundation; Employee Assistance Program 3940 Rimrock Road, Billings, MT 59102 or Big Horn County Historical Museum, Box 1206A, Hardin, MT. 59034.Services for Ina Mae will be at 10:30 Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Kane Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Jones Officiating.  Interment will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with a reception to follow in the Kane Reception Hall.  Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
