Jeffrey Rex Bloomer of Sheridan passed away peacefully February 25, 2026.

Born July 11, 1951 in Columbus Ohio, he was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle.

Jeff loved the outdoors and enjoyed white water rafting, having been a guide for several years, known as ‘Jumpin Jeff’ on the Ocoee River in Tennessee.

He Attended Kent State university and graduated Hocking tech college in Ohio with two associate degrees.

Jeff was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as Air force military police.

He is survived by his children Joshua B Bloomer, Karleigh B Bloomer Brockman, and step son Robert T Davis; granddaughter, Kiara A Brockman, sister and brother in law Nicola S Bloomer Eyre and Edward E Eyre of Hillsboro OH, niece Dr Erika Lynn Eyre Grafsky and great nephews Aiden, Asher and Ethan Grafsky of Blacksburg, VA.

Jeff was proceeded in death by his parents, Rex and Donna Marilyn Purcell Bloomer, maternal grandparents, Roy and Lilly Souther Purcell, paternal grandparents Wayne and Gladys Evans Bloomer, and nieces Brittany Lyn Eyre and Adrienne Nicole Eyre.

In Honor of Jeffrey's Life and Service there will be Military Honors held on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM, located outside of Champion Kane Funeral Home, under the event tent.

In lieu of flowers Jeff would like you to donate to St Jude’s or the Shriners.

Champion Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
