On Tuesday June 18, 2019, Jeffrey W. Calentine passed from this earth to join his Lord and Savior after many years of battling congestive heart failure. He was at home surrounded by family.Jeff was born in Sheridan, WY, December 14, 1952 to Charles and Peggy Calentine. He was the third of five children. Being part of a military family, Jeff had the opportunity to live in various places throughout his life including Scottsbluff, NE; Charleston, SC; and Hawaii. He followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the military, with the exception that he was in the Air Force instead of the Navy. In 1975, Jeff came home to Sheridan where he would spend the remainder of his life. He married his first wife, Kristine Paredez, later that same year. In 1978, Jeff and Kristine welcomed their son, Jay. Jeff loved him tremendously and was very proud of him. He spent several years managing the Centennial Theater and Drive In. On July 13, 2001 Jeff married the love of his life, Stormy Bomar. Jeff met Stormy in 2000 and after only one date told her he was going to marry her. Jeff and Stormy were more than husband and wife, they truly were each other’s best friend. They enjoyed traveling together and looked forward to their yearly trip to Deadwood. He was the kind of guy that would do anything for anyone in need, he had a good heart. He also had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He loved spending time in the Bighorn Mountains whether it be camping, fishing, or hiking. And no fishing trip was complete until Jeff had fallen into the creek. He enjoyed nature and always made sure to leave each place better than he found it. He was an avid collector of rocks and knives. One of his greatest joys was his beloved dogs.Jeff loved all of his family and friends very much. His wife meant the world to him, as did his son.
