About:
Julie Annette Fitzsimons, 65, of Sydney, Australia tragically passed away in Sheridan, Wyoming on May 28, 2025. She is reunited with her beloved daughter Nicole Fitzsimons and father George Moore. She is survived by her mother Gail Moore, husband Vince Fitzsimons, son Matt Fitzsimons and daughter Kate Gladdin; daughter-in-law Kate Fitzsimons, three grandsons Jack, Toby and Noah Fitzsimons; son-in-law Nathan Gladdin; her sister Karen Gannon and brother Geoff Moore.
Julie was raised and lived her life in Sans Souci, New South Wales, Australia where she worked as a librarian and historian for nearly fifty years. She was devoted to researching and preparing historical records and memorials of many organizations, such as sailing clubs and for the Returned Service League. She was a diehard supporter of the St George-Illawarra Dragons, travelling to hundreds of games throughout the country alongside her husband.
Julie devoted herself to the Nicole Fitzsimons Foundation, named in honor of her beautiful daughter who like Julie was tragically killed overseas while on holiday. Julie was loved for her generosity and always going out of her way for people in need. Her kind and compassionate heart took her to Kenya to support orphans, as well as guiding her in raising funds for countless athletes and dancers in pursuit of their dreams and who were suffering from adversity.
Julie spent every moment she could with her son and daughter-in-law watching her three young grandsons grow up. The Fitzsimons; home was always filled with family and friends, with Julie cooking up a storm and making everyone feel at home. These are memories that will be cherished forever.
At the time of her death, Julie and Vince were on their yearly holiday in Sheridan visiting their youngest daughter, Kate, and son-in-law, Nathan. She enjoyed the beautiful spirit of Wyoming and its natural beauty.
Julie was the rock of her family, a joy to be around, and adored by all who knew her.
