About:

Kathleen \"Kathy\" Wilt, was born in Denver on June 26th, 1946, and died on Friday, August 26th at the age of 70. Kathy graduated from Ft. Collins High School in 1964 and lived a full and adventurous life. Kathy, a wanderer at heart, lived in many places including Denver, Livermore, Ft. Collins, CO, Bishop CA, Nampa, ID, Cheyenne,WY, Charlotte NC, and for the last eight years, she called Sheridan, Wyoming her home. Kathy had many talents including cosmetology, catering, bar tending, baking, sewing, and decorating. Kathy had a contagious sense of humor and was an amazing conversationalist, making friends wherever she went. Since her retirement as a hairdresser, Kathy enjoyed her part time job working at RENEW as a bookkeeper, gambling with free vouchers at the Sheridan Horse Palace, stopping at Starbucks for her favorite special drink and sewing baby blankets and fancy pillowcases for her grandchildren. She was a person who suffered from many medical ailments in her life but that never kept her down. She worked and played hard right till the end and learned to appreciate the simple things in life; a loyal friend, winning 25 bucks, attending her grandchildren\'s plays and music performances, a cool fall day, a steamy romance novel, a surprise call or text from her family. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely, and will be greatly missed by them. Kathy is survived by her two daughters and son in law; Julie and Steve Heil of Buffalo WY, Jennifer Hein of Loveland,CO, her three grandchildren; Carissa Galvan of Loveland, Evan and Rowan Heil of Buffalo and her three great grandchildren; Michael Jr, Zaiden and soon to be born, Cassius Galvan also of Loveland. She had one sister, Suzanne Breene of Cheyenne. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Catherine Wilt and an infant son. It was Kathy\'s wish that in lieu of a memorial or flowers, people honor her by remembering to be kind to the underdogs of the world. Many people in the Sheridan community had shown her incredible kindness and generosity and Kathy believed in paying it forward. If you choose to make a donation please give in her name to Sheridan Meals on Wheels, 211 Smith St. Sheridan Wyoming 82801 or to the Advocacy and Resource Center, 136 Coffeen Ave. also in Sheridan.
