Larry G. Routh, 69, of Sheridan, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015, at the Saddle Ridge Rehabilitation Center.Larry was born on March 28, 1946, in Daytona Beach, FL, to parents Charles Gene and Donna Lee (Campbell) Routh. Larry attended school in Sheridan prior to enlisting in the Navy, where he served from 1963 to 1967, including two tours in Vietnam.He married Patricia “Pat” Bumbaca in Sheridan, WY, on January 5, 1980. They built a full life together and enjoyed camping, fishing for brookies in the Big Horns, riding motorcycles, watching hill climbs and dirt track races, and socializing with friends. He was a member of the VFW and the Big Horn Mountain Eagles.He devoted most of his career to the US Postal Service where he kept the equipment, building, and vehicles running for over 26 years and finally retired in 2013.He was a fisherman to the core, a NASCAR fan, and an avid reader. He was at home wandering through pawn shops and junk yards in search of a tool or a part he knew he could use for something. He loved history and politics and could talk at length about both.He loved spending time with his family and watching his grandsons grow into the fine young men they are today. His family and friends will most remember his patience, his kindness, and his strength.Larry is survived by his wife, Pat of Sheridan, son, Mike (Paula) Ligocki of Billings, MT, his three grandsons, Jordan, Nathan and Dylan Ligocki, and his brother, Steven Campbell of Mebane, NC.All services will take place at Kane Funeral Home beginning with visitation from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. on Thursday, September 24th. John Elkins will officiate services Friday, September 25th at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery and a reception immediately after at Kane Funeral Home.Memorials in Larry\'s honor may be made to the donor\'s charitable cause of choice.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
