Leon Edwin Stiles, 81, of Sheridan, passed away at home November 4, 2015.Leon was born in Fairview, MT, July 24, 1934. He married Shirley Hesco in 1957. They had four children together.  On November 28, 1985, he married Eva Lee (Roberts) Hunt and together they parented nine children, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Leon moved to Sheridan with his family in his youth and it remained his lifetime home until he passed. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1953. Leon retired from Montana-Dakota Utilities in 2000, following a 37-year career. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  His favorite retirement pastime was spending time at the coffee shop. Everyone was a friend and every place was a coffee shop to Leon.  Leon loved telling stories, especially about family history and the history of Sheridan County. Other interests included hunting, fishing, camping and bowling. He held offices in the Sportsman Club, he was a longtime member of the Kiwanas and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. Most importantly, Leon loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Thelma Stiles; two brothers, Berdon and Derald; three sisters; Joyce Matlock, Maxine Doran, Belinda Pihlak, four brothers-in-law, Bill Doran, Tom Matlock, Richard Bybee and Harvey Finch; two sons-in-law, Sam Bucher and Robert Johnson; and granddaughter, Aleisha Stiles.He is survived by his wife Eva Lee of Sheridan; his children, Melanie Bucher of Acworth, Ga, Laurie Johnson of Soldotna, AK, Kevin (Corey) Stiles of Thornton, CO and Michael (Anjee) Stiles of Thornton, CO; step children; Tom (Emily) Roberts of Gillette, WY, Wesley (Pam) Roberts of Riverton, WY, Gale (Mo) Roberts of Jackson, WY, Gary (Christine) Roberts of Story, WY, and Mary (Mike) Leuzinger of Sheridan, WY; brothers, Lonnie Stiles of Sheridan, WY; sister Myrna Bybee, Buffalo, WY, brother-in-law, Jerry Pihlak of Sheridan, WY; sisters-in-law; Genene Finch of Sheridan and Arlene Stiles of Billings, brother-in-law; James (Ann) Gardner of Sheridan; eight grandchildren, fourteen step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and seventeen step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Family Graveside Services will be held in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery at 10:00 AM on Monday November 9, 2015, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 3179 Big Horn Ave. with Pastor John Craft officiating. There will be a coffee reception immediately following the memorial service at the church. In Lieu of Flowers the family has requested a memorial be made to First Baptist Church, Forward in Faith, 3179 Big Horn Ave. Sheridan, WY 82801 or to Camp Bethel, P.O.Box 70, Dayton, WY 82836.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
