View Service Folder Maynard Lee Lockhart passed away in the evening of Monday, July 27, 2020 at home with his family by his side. Maynard was born May 7, 1941 to Floyd and Mabel Lockhart in Atlantic, Iowa. He and big brother Roger were later joined by Delores “Dee” Tye and Duane “Dewey” Lockhart. Maynard attended school in Iowa, graduating in 1959 then enlisted in the US Navy. Maynard\'s son Edward Lockhart was born November 16, 1963. He later moved to Sheridan, Wyoming in 1970 and in 1999 married the love of his life Jean, taking in her 3 daughters: Shannon (WY), Charnell (MN), and Michelle (MT). Maynard loved fishing as well as taking care of his yard and garden. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Mabel Lockhart, his big brother Roger Lockhart, and his nephew Rodney. Maynard is survived by his wife Jean, children Eddie, Shannon, Charnell, and Michelle (KC), granddaughter Amanda Armes, sister Dee (Denny), brother Dewey (Kathleen), niece Amber, and nephews Ritchie, Micheal, and Aaron. A Celebration of Life graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 11:00am in the Eagles section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Doug Goodwin officiating.
