Mike Dahlin
About:
Mike Dahlin passed away 10/23/2026 in Bountiful, Utah after a 4 month long battle with health complications. Mike Dahlin was born on November 7, 1961 in Eureka MO to Judy Dahlin (Albertson) and Mickey Goodwin. After his father left the family early in his life, his mother married John Dahlin, who adopted Mike and his older sister, Jeri, into the Dahlin family. Mike grew up in Sheridan, where he spent his younger years raising holy hell, making memories, and living life to the fullest. He had a spirit of his own and a way of doing things that made him unmistakably Mike. Mike met his true soulmate, Terrie Hayes, when they were still in grade school. Their love story began early, with an engagement in junior high and marriage shortly after graduating high school. Together, they welcomed two children, T'leye and Taylor, and began building a life and family of their own. Although they divorced, life eventually brought them back together, and they remarried a few years later. While their second marriage ultimately came to an end, their bond never truly did. They remained incredibly close and continued to share a deep love for one another until Mike's passing. Their story was one of a lifelong connection that time and circumstances could never completely break.Mike loved the outdoors and the freedom that came with it.
Fishing, riding dirt bikes, and camping were among his favorite pastimes, and he took every opportunity he could to get out and enjoy them. He also had a deep passion for music, especially rock and roll, and loved playing his guitar and attending concerts. Whether he was outdoors, listening to his favorite music, or simply enjoying life, Mike knew how to make the most of his time.At just 20 years old, Mike began his career as an over-the-road truck driver. He took pride in his work and maintained a perfect driving record throughout his career until his health no longer allowed him to continue. His years on the road were a testament to his dedication and commitment to the work he loved.Later in life,
Mike married Trisha Townsend, who stood beside him and remained with him until his passing. Together, they welcomed their son, Jett, giving Mike another chapter in his life as a father.Above all, Mike had a deep faith in the Lord. His relationship with God was an important part of his life, and his faith carried special meaning through the trials he faced.
As his health declined and he endured a long, difficult battle with illness, his journey became increasingly hard. There were struggles, pain, and things no one should have to endure for so long. But now, that battle is over. Mike has gone home to the Lord he loved and believed in. He is no longer fighting, no longer hurting, and no longer suffering. He can finally breathe freely, eat again, and rest in the peace of God's presence. While those who love him would give anything to have more time with him, there is comfort in knowing that he is finally at peace. Perhaps the greatest comfort comes from knowing that this goodbye is not forever. Through faith, we hold on to the hope of seeing him again someday. Mike leaves behind a family who will carry his memory, his stories, and their love for him for the rest of their lives.
He is survived by his wife, Trisha Dahlin; his children, T'leye (Cory) Legerski, Taylor (Carly) Dahlin, and Jett Dahlin; his grandsons, Reno (Amelie) Legerski and Zander Dahlin; his sister, Melissa (Steve) Liebhart; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Judy and John Dahlin, and his sisters, Jeri Barnette and DeDe Martinez.Mike's life was filled with love, adventure, music, family, and a whole lot of living. He was a son, a brother, a father, a grandfather, a husband, and a man whose story was uniquely his own. He leaves behind memories that will bring smiles, stories that will be told for years to come, and a love that will remain long after the pain of losing him begins to soften. The road has come to an end for Mike here on earth, but his journey home has just begun.
Heaven has welcomed him home, the Lord has called him to rest, and the fight is finally over.Until we meet again, Dad. You are loved more than words can ever say. A memorial will be held at a later date with close family
