About:

Nita ‘Charlene’ HuberOn Friday December 4th, after a three year battle with ovarian cancer, Charlene Huber passed away peacefully at her home in Sheridan, Wyoming.  Charlene was 69 years old.Charlene was born in Denison, TX, on October 16, 1946, to the proud parents of Charles Hilton Arnold and Una Marie Watson Arnold.  She had 1 older sister, Joyce Mae.  Her parents and her sister were waiting in heaven with open arms when she arrived there Friday.Charlene moved from Dallas, TX, to Sheridan, WY, in April of 1997, to be with some of her family.  She quickly began a new career in the health care field, initially as a CNA then later as a phlebotomist.  She enjoyed her work at the Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County; with Home Care; and as a Hospice caregiver and touched many lives in many ways.  Charlene married Harold Huber on September 1, 2001.  Their passion was loving and learning more about their savior Jesus Christ at Big Horn Church. One of her favorite terms was Fully Rely On God (FROG), giving her the nickname ‘froglady’ and she has an impressive collection of frogs based on that. They enjoyed traveling together in the western part of the United States, even living in Utah for a short time. Charlene has spent the past several years in various leadership roles for the Sheridan branch of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.  Even in these last years of having cancer herself, you would often find her soliciting donations from Sheridan businesses, taking part in bake sales and garage sales, and delivering daffodils to help raise money for this great cause she believed in so fervently.  She was always seen with a smile on her face and willing to help anyone. The remaining family that have the gift of her legacy are her husband Harold Huber; daughter Paula Graham and her husband Scott; James Cullen and his wife Shannon; Grandchildren that so lovingly call her ‘Nene’ are Jennifer Jacobs, Stacy Kirven, Courtney Cullen, Steven Cullen and Cheyanne Eaton.  The great grandchildren she was blessed with are Trinity, Adelynn, Hudson, Tristan, Ayva and Olivia. There will be a memorial service Saturday December 12th at 10:00 am at Big Horn Church, 115 S. Third, Big Horn, WY, to remember Charlene’s life on earth and to celebrate her eternal life in Heaven.  In lieu of flowers there is a memorial fund set up at Citco Federal Credit Union at 502 N. Main St., Sheridan.  All proceeds will go to the Sheridan branch of Relay for Life.Special thanks to Hospice of the Big Horns, who walked with us every step of the way and took such good care of Charlene and the family.  We are forever grateful.  Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
