Norma Louise Goodman, age 81, passed away surrounded by her children on Thursday,     March 15, 2018, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.  Norma was born May 14, 1936, in Gillette, Wyoming, to Tony and Ruth (Plaster) Neff.  She married Robert Goodman and they would have been married 60 years when Bob passed away in 2010. They made their home on the family ranch, Pony Track Ranch, on Lower Prairie Dog and welcomed two sons, James D. and Russell A.  In 1958, Bob and Norma moved to town and purchased the Skelly Gas Station in Sheridan and operated it until 1972.  While at the station, they welcomed two daughters, Ruth A. and Cindy L.  They sold the station and purchased Mobile Home Estates which they operated until retirement.  Bob and Norma always worked as a team in operating the family businesses.Bob and Norma traveled extensively.  Their travels took them across the country as well as to Mexico and Hawaii.  They truly enjoyed their years wintering in Arizona.  Norma was the ultimate homemaker.  She learned the German recipes from Bob’s mother and she graciously shared those with her daughters and granddaughters.  Norma was a stranger to no one.  Anyone who met her, instantly recognized what a special lady she was.Norma loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, to travel, to read, to cook, to maintain her home meticulously, and in her later years to attend Church on Sunday mornings.Norma is preceded in death by her husband; her son, Russell Allen Goodman; her grandson, Jason Obert; her sisters, Wyoma Linley and Nadine Crook; and her nephew, Duane Crook.She is survived by son James Goodman, Denver, Colorado; daughters Ruth (Steve) Grevesen, Greeley, Colorado; and Cindy (Tom) Pilch, Sheridan; and niece Diane (Jim) Archerd, Cheyenne.  Also, five grandchildren, Richelle (Patrick) O’Neil, McKinney, Texas; Dr. Matt Goodman, Austin, Texas; Kristina Goodman, Sheridan; Emily (Andy) Lucus, Gillette; and Hilary Pilch, Cheyenne.  Norma was also great grandmother to Aubrey Goodman; Kolby Lucus and Krew Pilch Lucus.Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Kane Funeral Home.  A reception will immediately follow in the Kane Reception Hall.  Memorials to honor Norma may benefit Bethesda Worship Center, 5135 Coffeen Ave, Sheridan, WY 82801 or donor’s choice.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
