Rex J. Davenport, 54, of Sheridan, WY passed away May 19, 2016, at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital. Rex was born June 16, 1961, in Oklahoma City, OK to Esther “Mitch” Byrley-Norris and Clarence Davenport. Rex enjoyed tinkering on motors, watching Nascar and listening to country music. Family and friends were the most important things to Rex. He was extremely proud of his children & grandchildren. Rex was preceded in death by his mother and father, his grandparents; Charles and Lucille Byrley and uncles; Larry Byrley and AJ Amos. Rex is survived by his sons; Mike (Lily) Davenport and Kris (Jessica) Davenport of Colorado Springs, CO, his grandchildren; Sean, Piper, Blaine, Gabe, Livy & Damon, his brothers; Rick DeTar and John ”Jay”(Chris) Thompson of Sheridan, WY, sister; Chris (Bill) McEdward of Worland, Aunts; Wanda Amos of Loveland, CO and Sharon Byrley of Tulsa, OK, uncle; Jim (Dorothy) Byrley of Afton, OK, nephews; Christopher Thompson of Sheridan, WY and Brandon DeTar of Redding, CA and numerous cousins. Rex has been cremated and no services are planned. Anyone wanting to honor Rex’s memory can make a donation to the charity of their choice.
