Robert Logan, Sr., 81, of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014, surrounded by his wife, Carla, family and loved ones.Robert Alvin Logan, Sr., was born on January 13, 1933, in Nonpariel, Nebraska, to Alvin and Grace (Newbrough) Logan. He grew up in Sheridan and Monarch.His dad and uncle were part of the underground coal mining in Monarch. Robert was a Pastor at Tongue River Baptist Church in Ranchester, Wyoming, for thirty years. He worked with the mentally and physically handicapped in Arkansas for 18 1/2 years. Robert served five years as the Administrator of Arkansas Children\'s Colony in Booneville, Arkansas. Also, he was a member of the Wyoming Renew Board and president of the board for 3 years. He was the Director of Public Works for Dayton, Wyoming, for 20 years. Robert served his country for 5 years, 3 months, and 28 days in the Air Force as military police. AKA as the guy who wouldn\'t let General Eisenhower on the base without proper credentials.He graduated from Central Baptist College in Arkansas with a B.A.Robert was proceeded in death by Daughter Tabitha R. Logan, Grandson Zechariah Logan, Great Granddaughter Bailey Hopkins, his siblings, Doris Dennis & Maxine Lastinger & Roger Logan. He is survived by Carla, his wife of 57 years, children Robert A. & Amber Logan Jr., Granger D. & Deb Logan, Tempie L. & John Poulos, Celia D. & Steve Deeds, Stacy D. & Charles Ajouri, La\'Tonia J. & Danny Smith. Grandchildren: Amy L. & Shawn Lawrence, Amanda M. & Mike Porter, Tabitha R. Logan, Rheagan A. Logan, Amy R. (Logan) McCullough, Rachel A. & Mike Hopkins, Garrett N. & Elizabeth Poulos, Michael R. Poulos, Christopher & Greg Walker Deeds, Jennifer & Jason Cochran, Clay T. Smith, Hannah B. Smith, Gracie B. Smith, Chloe B. Smith, Logan D. Smith. Great Grandchildren: Madison Burnett, Tucker Porter, Paisley Porter, Wyatt Hopkins, Lakin Hopkins, George McCullough, Jessie McCullough, Hanna Walker, Hayden Walker, J.J. Cochran, Logan Cochran, Bella Cochran. Robert is also survived by his brother Melvin Logan and family.A visitation will be Monday, October 13, 2014 at 6 pm to 8 pm at Kane Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the Dayton Community Center (Old High School Gym) with Pastor Dr. Fred Creason officiating. Interment will be in the Dayton Cemetery.
