Roy Ekwall passed away on July 14, 2017. A proud Wyoming Native, he was born in Sheridan on September 8, 1931. Roy served in the Army during the Korean war, was a longtime member of the Big Horn Mountain Eagles which included serving as State President, belonged to the American Legion, VFW and Elks. Roy was a jack of all trades and a master at working with his hands. For many years he decorated cakes, a true artist at that craft. He loved the mountains, was an avid hunter, Denver Broncos fan, bowler and dart player. Roy lived a simple life that he loved, he enjoyed helping others and being involved in his community. He was a great man who loved life and his family, he will be truly missed.Roy is preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Ekwall, son Michael (Mickey) Ekwall, and three brothers, Raymond Ekwall, Robert Ekwall and George Ekwall. He is survived by his daughter, Rose Heaton (Wayne) of Utah, son Duane Ekwall of Wyoming, son Robert Ekwall of New Mexico, son Steve Ekwall (DeeAnn) of Kansas and daughter Kathy Ekwall (Jamie Bistram) of Minnesota, sister Eileen (Mickie) Fowler of Nevada, many nieces and nephews, and too many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren to name.Cremation has taken place.
