About:

Sharon K. Sobotka (Doyle) passed away in Sheridan on June 12th, 2015 at the age of 83. She was one of the kindest women one could ever hope to meet. She was born on April of 1932 in Columbus, MT.

She married her true love, Burton Sobotka on September 19, 1956 in Acme, WY. Burton was away a lot due to his obligations to the U.S Navy, but Sharon’s commitment to the family was steadfast. Sharon and Burton’s relationship was truly a love story in real life. She was a dedicated wife and mother to her children. The Sobotkas enjoyed playing Pinochle with their dear friends, Audrey & Garrett Meyer, camping and fishing in the Bighorns, and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Later after her husband’s passing, Sharon found happiness in the relationships with her friends at Heritage towers, and continued to cherish her relationship with Audrey. Sharon and her daughter were inseparable, and they enjoyed each other’s company every day. She enjoyed going out for a piece of pie and coffee, and going for a ride in the mountains with her daughter. She was also a member of the Crow Tribe and was proud of her heritage. When any member of her family was having a hard time, Sharon could always make them feel better. She was a very giving person and would offer anything she had to help someone in need. Sharon was a relentless optimist, and an avid defender of our family. Words can’t express how much she will be missed. She is now in heaven with her parents, her beloved husband, Burton, her sister Patricia Owings, and her brother, Duane Doyle. She is survived by her daughter, Melvie Bates and son Jim Walthall (Debbie), her granddaughter, Cody Martini (Jay), and grandsons Matt Bates, Tyler Walthall, and Kris Walthall. Burton’s brothers and sisters, two great granddaughters, a great grandson, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins will also miss her.At Sharon’s request, no services have been arranged.
