Malyurek, 51, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the Sheridan Manor.Shirley Christine Malyurek, 51, of Sheridan, Wyoming passed away Thursday April 30, 2015 at Sheridan Manor.Shirley Malyurek was born May 8, 1963 to the late Michael J. and Jackie E. Malyurek in Sheridan, Wyoming.Shirley attended primary and secondary school in Sheridan, and worked hard to obtain her high school diploma from Sheridan High School. She spent her life in Sheridan Wyoming, Billings Montana, and Mesa Arizona. She put smiles on many faces in every place she lived. In 2001 she returned to Sheridan and was able to live her dream of “having her own place” living in Easter Seals assisted living homes. Shirley participated in Special Olympics for many years, bowling and equestrian being her favorite events. CHAPS Equine Therapy arena was one of Shirley’s favorite places. She learned many horsemanship skills which allowed her to become an equine special Olympian. Growing up in the west, she was a true cowgirl at heart.Shirley was especially fond of art and theatre and spent many hours creating her masterpieces. She was a regular performer in the theatre group “The Easter Seals Players”. Shirley loved spending time with family and friends, shopping, and watching movies, especially the scary ones. Shirley was always smiling and always the first one ready for any outing or new adventure.Shirley is survived by her sister Liz Farnsworth of Florence, Arizona, her sister, Lana Wood of Sheridan, Wyoming, and her brother Danny Malyurek of Sheridan, Wyoming, Aunt Velma Howell, Ft. Meade, Florida. Additionally, she has multiple cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Jackie Malyurek.A Visitation will be held at 10:00 on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 with Pastor Phil Wold officiating. Interment will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. A Reception will follow at the church.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
