Tannya Lee Goodman, 63, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.Tannya was born December 12, 1953, on the Birney Star Route, the daughter of Kenneth and Jeanne McKinney Goodman. She grew up in Sheridan and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1972. Throughout her childhood she participated in 4-H, attending State Fair and later becoming a 4-H leader, passing on her knowledge and skills to her daughter and many others. Tannya worked for Jersey Creamery before beginning her 30 year career at the Sheridan VA Medical Center. She spent many years on the road dedicating her time to driving her daughter to her many activities, sometimes in winter storms where you could not see the edge of the road. She enjoyed leading and participating in the Women’s Group at First Christian Church, sharing in fellowship and fun with others. After her retirement, Tannya spent many hours working on family genealogy and connecting with family near and far. Family was the most important thing to her, especially her two grandsons. They enjoyed playing games, telling stories and drawing together. Tannya had a homemade card for her boys for every holiday and significant life event. Her time spent with them was precious and they will miss their “Nanni” greatly.Tannya was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Goodman. She is survived by her daughter Brandi (John) Clifton; grandsons Colby and Garrett; her mother, Jeanne McKinney Goodman; brothers, Karl Goodman, Willie Goodman, Casey (Susan) Goodman; nephew, Jacob Goodman; niece Carissa Goodman (Christopher); aunt, Norma Goodman and many extended family members whom she dearly loved.A Memorial Service will be 2 PM, Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at First Christian Church with Pastor Doug Goodwin officating. A reception will follow at the church.Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 102 S. Connor, Sheridan, WY 82801Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
