View Service FolderTony passed away on August 23, 2019, at Green House Living For Sheridan.Tony Legerski was born July 1, 1932 in Acme, Wyoming. Tony’s parents George Paul Legerski and Mary Barbara Kawulok Legerski, were both born in Poland. They had immigrated to the United states, and settled North of Sheridan, Wyoming around 1915. Tony had 12 siblings- Anna, Mary, Agnes, Joe, George & Mike (twins.) Eva, Frank, John, Rose, Ted, and Paul. His sister, Anna, never came to the U.S. from Poland, and his brother, John, died very young. Tony and his siblings grew up in the coal towns of Northeastern Wyoming, including Carneyville (later named Kleenburn).Tony married Doris Hammett Kubiak, Betty Gorzalka and later Betty, Lacy Babione. He had two sons, Ron and Tom Legerski, and four step-children.Early in life, Tony served in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Seattle, Washington. He later worked in the auto industry, all over Wyoming, mostly as a Parts Manager.Tony was a care giver. First, to his mother-in-law, and later to his wife who was unfortunately injured in a freak accident. He cared for her until her death in 2011.Tony retired from Big R, in Riverton, Wyoming, he lived on a small acreage where he enjoyed farm animals. There, he collected old cars including Ford Mustangs. He returned to Sheridan, Wyoming, when he moved to Sheridan Manor in August of 2016. It was at that time that health issues prevented him from living alone.Tony had a long-time friend, Bobbie Burke, from Riverton, that he kept in touch with and spoke to often.Tony lived his final days at the Green House Living For Sheridan, with a daily visit from his loving niece, Jane Lindstrom, and her husband, Donnie, who will so miss their visits, with “Uncle Tony.”A Celebration Of Life will be held at, Kane Funeral Home, Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00 pm.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
