After a lengthy and happy relationship with Diana Metz they married in a small intimate ceremony at their home on January 1, 2019.  They had a celebration of love, family and friendships on March 18th, 2019.He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Garland; step-parents, Sundown Taffner and Eva Garland; brother-in law Arturo Vasco.  Bill leaves behind his wife, Diana Garland and his mother, Edith Taffner; his sister, Chriss Vasco; brothers, Kelly Garland (Roxane), George Garland (Georgie) and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.  A service celebrating Bill’s life will be held at First Baptist Church in Sheridan on April 27th at 2:00 with the Reverend Kevin Jones officiating.   A reception at the Sheridan Elks Lodge will immediately follow.  In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Sheridan Elks Lodge #520 Building Fund or charity of your choice.
