Willis A. Lawrence of Buffalo WY passed away January 24, 2024. Willis was born to Robert C Lawrence and Elanor (Erck) Lawrence on April 20, 1936. He attended school in Thermopolis and graduated from JCHS in 1954. He worked many jobs including carpenter, barber, Postal Employee, Wyo. Highway Dept. Employee, and the Wyoming National Guard and retired from the Guard as a recruiter. Willis was known for his ability to try many different activities from rock climbing, woodworking, hunting, fishing, and many other activities that came along. He was forever including his children and grandchildren in his activities.

Willis is survived by his wife Georgia of 68 years; daughters Georgina (Dusty) Hackett; Joleen Roberts; Jane (Paul) Gale and Sheryl (Wade) Ritterbush. Nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren round out his family. Willis is preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, two nephews and one niece. The family has decided not to have services, Military Honors will be Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo, WY.
