William (Bill) Anthony Edward Schultz, 53, of Sheridan, passed away Friday, October 12,2018 at the Sheridan VA Medical Center after a brief battle with kidney cancer. Bill was born in Fargo, ND on November 2, 1964 and moved with his family to Sheridan, WY in August, 1980. He joined the Navy in 1986, and returned to Sheridan in 1995. Bill was a Navy veteran who served during Desert Storm. He served 8 years and was honorably discharged in September, 1994. After his military career, Bill returned to Sheridan and spent the remaining years of his work life as a cook at various restaurants in the Sheridan area. Bill was avid collector of vintage pieces of art, books, and pottery. He enjoyed snowmobiling in the winter, and boating in the summer. He enjoyed movies, music, games, and was very interested in current events. Bill is survived by his parents, Edward and Kitty Schultz, his sisters and brother Laura Senff, Danette Schultz, and Jerry (Abby) Schultz, 3 nephews, 3 nieces, his 3 children Elise, Austin, and Dylan Schultz, and his beloved ferret, Fievel. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, William and Hattie Hoff, Tony and Luella Schultz, and his nephew Hayden Schultz. There will be no services, just a small family gathering to honor his memory at a later date. Donations may be sent to Second Chance Cat Rescue, 945 Werco Ave., Sheridan, WY 82801. The family sends a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, nurse aids, and all the rest of the V A staff who took such good care of Bill in his last days. .Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
